What It Takes To Build A Quarter Million A Year Online Business

Looking at one of my affiliate back offices today, over a quarter million dollars this year alone… Very excited I must say!

Having multiple income streams is the best you can do to build the life you want, because the money will help you focus on what you truly want in life.

Now, you have to consider the following, because this is how you get to this level and beyond:

#1 – You need to leverage a proven system. This system can be someone else’s products and services, or it can be your own platform, where you offer your own products. You need to be constantly tweaking and testing it.

#2 – Huge Success doesn’t happen overnight, but you can have small successes happen ever single day. Never underestimate your own results. Most of the people I talk to every day look down on their own results without even realising that any kind of result is important. What’s even worse, a lot of people don’t realise that the fact that they get results no matter how small, already puts them ahead of at least 90% of people who never get results. Want to get to the 5% of people who get what they want? Keep going, you’re on the right track!

#3 – You have to invest in yourself and in your business. The fact that I made over $250K this year doesn’t mean I have all of that money sitting on my bank account. I have reinvested a huge amount back into my businesses and into myself. I have traveled the World, I have invested in coaching, I have invested in events, seminars and products. I have invested in traffic, I have invested in branding videos. A lot goes on for you to reach this level, but trust me it’s incredibly worth it! The lifestyle I have today makes me happy and I can only wish the same for more and more people 🙂

#4 – You have to surround yourself by like-minded people. You need to actively seek these people who think and have a similar vision to yours. I know you hear this a lot, but it’s true. When you’re aligned with your vision and your core values, you’ll see how people with similar intentions will be attracted to you and come into your life. And you’ll also see how people who are too different from you will be repelled.
For you to get together with like-minded people sometimes you’ll have to leave your house and attend live events! :)One of my favorite events is the Home Business Summit, which takes place every month in different parts of the World.

#5 – You have to be willing to work a little harder than your comfort zone! I was watching a training by Jordan Belfort the other day where he told the attendees “raise your right hand as high as you can!” and so people raised their hands pretty high. Then, he said “now raise it a little bit higher” and people did. What that means is that when he asked them to raise it as high as they could, they weren’t actually doing that. They stayed in the comfort zone. They could still push their arms a little higher. Think about that in your business. Are you going as far as you can, or only as far as you’re comfortable with? Get uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable. Then, find the new level of uncomfortable and keep going!

#6 – Leverage! You have to leverage the results you have in your business. One way to do this is by creating your own testimonials, written or video, where you express how far your business has gone since you got started and display some tangible results that people can see. Another way, is to leverage your success stories, your clients and customers who have worked with you, or purchased your products and services. Talk to them and if they’re genuinely happy with what you have provided to them, interview them and publish those interviews on your websites.

#7 – You have to build RELATIONSHIPS. One of my favorite quotes out there is by Scott Stratten, aka Unmarketing. He says “If You Believe Your Business Is Built On Relationships, Then Make Building Them Your Business.” How true is that? Talk to people, serve people, and give value without expecting anything in return. That’s the fastest way to earn people’s trust and get them to do business with you.

BONUS: #8 – You Have To Build Your Personal Brand. The wonderful thing about positioning yourself as an agent of value in the marketplace is that your personal brand belongs to you and no one can take that away from you. When you’re an affiliate marketer only, you’re always at risk of losing your business because you depend on the business owner. Now, I am an affiliate marketer myself, but that’s only ONE of my income streams. And having positioned my personal brand also allows me to get involved in several affiliate opportunities, and know that people already trust my judgement and will follow me. My Personal Brand allows me to offer my own products and services too, which at the end of the day is my main goal.

Along with your personal brand comes your website or blog. When you only rely on your social media profiles, you’re once again putting your business in someone else’s hands. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket! Ensure you have your own website because that has to be your operations system, everything has to converge to your website my friend, that’s the only place on the internet that you own, that’s your home :).
